Munoko Karen Musikoyo-Nguru is the Agribusiness Expert in FARA. She has extensive knowledge of, and skills in agribusiness development work with over 9 years’ experience. She also oversees the gender and youth initiatives. Before joining FARA, Karen co-founded the African Inception for Agribusiness Research (AIAR) and was also Agribusiness Programme Manager at the United States International University-Africa, where she successfully led the establishment of the institutions’ agribusiness programmes while managing grants from multiple funders. She successfully managed various research, development activities, funds and partners implementing these projects spanning different countries. Prior
to this, Karen served at the Nairobi Hospital where she supported the establishment of a quality assurance office and implementation of programme’s monitoring and evaluation framework at UNESCO PEER.
Karen has keen interest in agribusiness research & capacity development work for youth & women in Africa. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Environmental studies and an executive masters’ diploma in Organizational Development from United States International University.
